Anxious Myopic Boy is Ricardo Macedo.

Born in Lisbon but with his feet firmly planted in São Martinho do Porto,
he is primarily dedicated to music, photography, and graphic design
— not necessarily in that order.

He was a member and co-founder of Mr. Francis, a band that, for 10 years,
stirred up the ever-demanding nights of Barcelona with powerful covers of cult songs.

Driven by a thirst for new musical experiences, he ventured solo as One Band Man.
Armed with his loopstation and a carefully selected collection of timeless songs,
he created an ironic and affectionate tribute to the so-called “elevator music,”
also known as Muzak. The project, initially called Music for a Meal, was born in unlikely venues
— restaurants, hotels, rooftops, and intimate events — and grew as a live act,
starting in Barcelona and with stops in Vienna, Lisbon, Porto, Chișinău, and Menorca,
culminating in a memorable concert at the iconic Apolo venue in Barcelona,
where he opened for B Fachada and the legendary Dead Combo.

Today, Anxious Myopic Boy continues to deconstruct songs, layer by layer,
through voices, loops, and silences — with the same myopia with which he observes the world,
up close and in detail, and with the same anxiety of someone who knows that each moment can be unique.

Always with love,
R.
